Our Ride Crew

Our ride crew is made up of dedicated volunteers who make every ride you take fun and safe.  They ride the route, find gas stops, select a place for lunch and attractions to see along the way.  On the day of the ride, they are at the head and tail of each group, blocking traffic and guiding the way.  This allows you as a rider the chance to have a worry free, fun day.

These guys make the job look easy, take a few moments to thank them when you see them.

  Tail Gunners

Keith is the Lead Tailgunner.  In this role, he coordinates volunteers for each ride, attends the pre-ride and helps in route planning.

During the ride, he works as a tailgunner.  Tailgunners ride at the rear of each group and work to keep the group together, secure lanes when making lane changes on the freeway and, in the event the group becomes separated, take the lead of the group and lead it to the next stop.  Also, in the event someone taps out of the group, the tailgunner will stop and assist.

Would you like to be a tailgunner?  Please feel free to Email Keith; he can help you achieve the requirements.

These requirements include:

  • Completion of the Motorcycle Safety Foundation's Experienced Rider Course.

Just rest assured, if you are a new rider, you will have a shepherd on your first ride with us.  What does a shepherd do?  They greet every new rider and help them with the terms, hand signals and traditions of the Chapter.
