Welcome to Star Touring and Riding Chapter 230!
If you are looking for interesting places to ride and friends to ride with, friends who love motorcycles, ride in an organized and courteous manner, and take safety/skill improvement seriously, you have found the right place.
Our Chapter was formed in 2002 and currently has almost 100 Members. We are a chapter of Star Touring and Riding and subscribe to their mission statement that is found on their website, www.startouring.org. We also realize that riding in Southern California presents some challenges and we always attempt to keep safety first, while elevating the fun level of riding together.
We ride the first Saturday of every month, unless it's a holiday or inclement weather; then we sometimesmove the ride to another week. We meet at the Starbucks' parking lot at 3743 W. Chapman Ave., Orange, CA, at the corner of Manchester and W. Chapman Ave. We start our meeting at 8 am and ride following the meeting. Our rides average about 250 miles.
We also raffle off items donated by chapter members or our generous supporting establishments that you can find linked on
the Our Local Support page. With the money we raise from the raffles, we support our local charity, Orange Senior Center Meals on Wheels Program, and our national charity, Feed the Children. We host an annual fund raising BBQ for the senior center and participate in their annual poker run ride each fall.
We have a Bike Night on the fourth Thursday of the month. It is an informal dinner at Portillos on La Palma Ave. in the Buena Park Mall from 6-7:30 pm. We also have yearly overnight rides and charity events, a Holiday party, and many more events throughout the year. Most of that information can be found on our Our Rides and Calendar pages.
We welcome all riders, all ages, all abilities, and all bikes. Even though we are primarily a Yamaha sponsored organization, we welcome bikes of all makes and models, we have a broad spectrum of makes and models of motorcycles riding with us today including Harley Davidson, Honda, Kawasaki, etc. If you are interested in learning more about us, please look on the Our Officers page, find and contact me with any questions you may have.
