We are a chapter of Star Touring and Riding and subscribe to their mission statement that is found on their website www.startouring.org. We also realize that riding in Southern California presents some challenges and we always attempt to keep safety first while elevating the fun level of riding together. We have therefore written our own chapter riding guidelines that build on Star's mission statement.
We ride the first Saturday of every month, unless it's a holiday; then we move the ride to the next week. We meet at the Starbucks' parking lot at 3743 W. Chapman Ave., Orange, CA, at the corner of Manchester and W. Chapman Ave. We start our meeting at 8 am and ride following the meeting. Our rides average about 225 miles.
We also raffle off items provided by our generous supporting establishments that you can find linked on the Our Local Support page. With the money we raise from the raffles, we support our local charity, Orange Senior Center Meals on Wheels Program, and our national charity, Feed the Children.
We have a Bike Night on the fourth Thursday of the month. It is an informal dinner at Portillos on La Palma Ave. in the Buena Park Mall from 6-7:30 pm. We also have yearly overnight rides, overnight stays for our ladies only, a Christmas party, and many more rides and events throughout the year. Most of that information can be found on our Calendar page.
We welcome all riders, all ages, all abilities, and all bikes. Even though we are primarily a Yamaha sponsored organization, we have a broad spectrum of makes and models of motorcycles riding with us today. If you are interested in learning more about us, please look on the Our Members page, find and contact the President with any questions you may have. |
