Welcome to Star Touring and Riding Chapter 230!

If are looking to make new friends who love motorcycles, go interesting places, ride in an organized and courteous manner, and take safety/skill improvement seriously, you may have found the right place.

Our Chapter was formed in 2002 and currently has almost 100 members. As a Chapter of STAR Touring and Riding, we subscribe to their mission statement (which can be found on their website www.startouring.com).  We are acutely aware that Southern California riding presents some challenges and we always attempt to keep safety first while maintaining a fun level of riding together. 

We ride the first Saturday of every month; unless it’s a holiday or there is inclement weather.  Under these circumstances we may move the ride to the following weekend.  We meet at the Starbucks’ parking lot at 3743 W. Chapman Ave., Orange CA.  We begin with a meeting at 8 am and follow that with the ride.  Our rides average 225 miles. 

During our meeting and at several fund-raisers during the year we hold raffles of items that have been donated by chapter members or our supporters.  With the money raised during these raffles, we support our local charity, the Orange Senior Center Meals on Wheels program, and our national charity, Feed the Children.  We also host an annual fund raising BBQ for the Senior Center and participate in their annual poker run ride each fall.

We have a Bike Night on the fourth Thursday of each month.  It is an informal dinner at Portillo’s on La Palma Ave. (in the Buena Park mall) from 6-7:30 pm. We also have several overnight rides, a holiday party, and many more events during the year which can be found on the Event Calendar on our website, www.star230.com.
